About the Author
Chuck McGill holds commercial single and multiengine land, commercial single engine sea, and instrument airplane certificates, as well as flight instructor certificates for single engine land and sea, multiengine land, and instrument instructor airplane. He is a five-time Master CFI.
He started teaching flying in 1981 and has accumulated over 12,500 hours of flight time, with over 8,500 hours of instruction given. In 2009 he was named as the FAA CFI of the Year for the Western Pacific Region.

He has been actively involved in aviation safety since 1984, voluntarily serving as a FAA-designated Accident Prevention Counselor, Aviation Safety Counselor, and as a FAASTeam Representative.

He teaches model-specific initial and recurrent training programs and provides model-specific aircraft insurance checkouts, instrument courses, commercial ratings, and mountain flying instruction.

He has flown his own aircraft throughout the lower forty-eight United States and in Canada, Alaska, Mexico, and Europe. In 1987 he reenacted Lindbergh's crossing of the Atlantic in his Cessna T210.
